1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Pepsu Occupancy Tenants (Vesting of Proprietary Rights) Act, 1954.(2)[ It extends to the territories of the State of Punjab, which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, formed part of the State of Patiala and East Punjab States Union.] [Substituted by the Punjab Adaptation of Laws (State and Concurrent Subjects) Order, 1968.](3)It shall come into force at once, [* * * *] [Omitted by Punjab Act No. 29 of 1958, section 2.].
