(1)In Jails where there are two or more Medical Subordinates their duties shall be so arranged by the Medical Officer that the work is fairly distributed and that one or other of them shall be always present throughout the day. They shall, when circumstances permit, be required to sleep in turn in the hospital from 10 p.m. until the unlocking of the jail next morning. They shall all be present whilst the Medical Officer is visiting the sick, and at such other times as he considers necessary.
