ORDER
Information Sought:
The appellant filed an RTI application on 25.04.2018, seeking information on four points, including, inter-alia;
1) Copy of complete promotion orders issued based on the selections conducted in respect of ASMs/SMs in each grade from 1st January 1979 to 31st December 2001 in Hubballi Division.
2) Copy of the complete promotion orders issued other than on selections in respect of ASMs/SMs in each grade from 1st January 1979 to 31st December 2001 in Hubballi Division. These include orders issued on restructuring/up- gradation also.
3) Copy of the seniority lists of SMs/ASMs of Hubballi Division published during the period 01.01.1979 - 31.12.2001.
4) The expenditure incurred on stationary may be advised for making payment.
The CPIO vide letter dt. 24.05.2018, respondent to the RTI application and stated that relevant records of such distant date not available in the office. Being dissatisfied, the appellant filed first appeal dt. 20.06.2018. FAA vide order dt. 17.07.2018, stated that efforts had been made to trace out the relevant records, however, no records at distant date was found.
Grounds for Second Appeal:
The appellant filed second appeal u/s 19 of the Act on the ground of unsatisfactory reply furnished by the respondent. He requested the Commission to direct the CPIO to provide the information sought for.Page 2 of 4
CIC/SORLY/A/2018/150868 Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The appellant vide letter dt. 20.08.2020 submitted that he shifted his residence and could not been able to trace his case file. He further submitted that the information sought through RTI application in question were no more relevant for him. Therefore, he wishes to withdraw the instant appeal.
Decision:
In the light of the above submissions made by the appellant stating that the information sought under RTI application is not relevant for him at this stage. The second appeal is hereby dismissed as 'Withdrawn'.
With the above observations, the appeal is disposed of.
Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
The appeal, hereby, stands disposed of.
