Section 2(xxviii) in Symbiosis Skills and Open University Act, 2017
(xxviii)"Teacher" means a Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Adjunct Professor, Industry experts or resources persons or any other person required to impart education, skills, practical training, guide research or render guidance in any form to the students for pursuing a course of study of the University;
