Section 9(1) in Manipur Rural Local Bodies Ombudsman Act, 2013
(1)The Ombudsman shall, for the purpose of any investigation or enquiry under this Act, have the same powers as are vested in a Civil Court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act V of 1908) in respect of the following matters, namely, -(i)summoning and enforcing the attendance of any witness and examining him;(ii)requiring the discovery and production of any document;(iii)receiving evidence on affidavits;(iv)requisitioning any public records, or copy thereof from any court or office;(v)issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses;(vi)such other powers as are prescribed;
