SHRI K.C. VENUGOPAL (ALAPPUZHA): It has been observed that the fund which was given by the Central Government to appoint Physiotherapists to help the differently abled students as a part of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, has been withdrawn. For this reason, the appointment of Physiotherapists has been affected. This affects many students including more than 3,000 students from Kerala. This is nothing but the denial of the natural justice to the differently abled students. We have to show mercy and compassion to the students who are differently abled. In this regard, I request the Union Government to immediately interfere in this matter and withdraw the decision to deny fund for appointing Physiotherapists for differently abled students under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
