Section 99(1) in The West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973
(1)The Sabhapati or the Sahakari Sabhapati or any other member of a Panchayat Samiti may resign his office by notifying in writing his intention to do so mentioning the reasons for his resignation and also his present postal address for further to the prescribed authority.
