1. These joint petitions have been filed, under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal ["the Tribunal"], which is in seisin of disputes between the parties.
2. The Tribunal was constituted in the year 2018. The mandate of the Tribunal was extended from time to time, lastly by an order dated 01.05.2024 in O.M.P. (MISC.) (COMM.) 338/2024 till 30.06.2024.
3. I am informed that the award was reserved on 16.11.2023.
4. By an email dated 25.06.2024, the Tribunal has requested the parties to seek an extension until 31.07.2024. It is expected that the award will be passed by this time.
5. In view of the above, the petitions are allowed, and the mandate of the Tribunal in both the proceedings is extended until 31.07.2024.
