Section 3(j) in The U.P. Apartment (Promotion Of Construction, Ownership And Maintenance) Act, 2010
(j)"common expenses" means -(i)expenses of administration, maintenance, repair or replacement of the common areas and facilities, utilities, equipments and machineries and all other sums assessed against the owners of apartment by the Association of Apartment Owners.(ii)expenses declared as common expenses by the provisions of this Act or by the bye-laws, or agreed upon by the Association of Apartment Owners;
