Section 19(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994
(1)Whenever a vacancy occurs by the death, resignation or removal, or by the vacation of seat, under the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 13, of any [office bearer] [Substituted by words 'office bearer' vide Act No. 12 of 2010], the vacancy shall be filled within six months of the occurrence of such vacancy in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder:[Provided that where the remainder of the term is less than six months, it shall not be necessary to hold any bye-elections to fill-up such casual vacancy.] [Proviso added vide Act No. 23 of 2000.]
