Section 126(a) in U.P. Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Rules, 2009
(a)no rope is used for building or other construction work unless -(i)it is of good quality and free from patent defects; and(ii)in the case of wire rope, it has been tested and examined by a competent person in the manner specified in Schedule-I annexed to these rules.
