Section 157 in The Manipur Municipalities Act,1994.
157. Owner or occupier to take steps to prevent spread of infectious disease.-
In the event of a municipality, or any part thereof, being visited with an outbreak of cholera or other infectious disease notified in this behalf, the owner or occupier may during the continuance of the epidemic, without notice and at any time, inspect and disinfect any well tank or other place from which water is or is likely to be taken for the purpose of drinking and may further take such steps as be deems fit to prevent the, removal of water therefrom.
