A government servant called upon by a court of law to act as a commission to give evidence on technical matters may be permitted to comply with the request, provided that the case is not of such a nature as will be likely to come before him in the course of his official duties, and to accept such fees as are fixed by the court.Note - The apportionment of fees received by the government servant between him and the Government will be regulated by Subsidiary Rules 29 and 29-A.
