Section 237(1) in Siliguri Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
(1)The Corporation may own, purchase or take on lease any land or building for the purpose of establishing municipal market or slaughter-house or stock-yard or improving an existing municipal market, slaughter-house or stock-yard and make provision for such maintenance. .
