Section 9(2) in The Maharashtra Habitual Offenders Rules, 1960
(2)[ The notice under sub-rule (1) may be served by the Police Patel of the village or any officer or servant working under the control of the officer issuing such notice who shall obtain the signature of the restricted person on the duplicate copy of the notice in token of his having received the same and make a report to that effect to the officer issuing the notice before the roll call is held.
