Section 25 in The Gujarat Lokayukta Act, 1986

25. Savings.

(1)The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to the provisions of any other enactment or any rule of law under which any remedy by way of appeal, revision, review or in any other manner is available to a person making a complaint under this Act in respect of any action, and nothing in this Act shall limit or affect the right of such person to avail of such remedy.
(2)Nothing contained in this Act shall be construed as affecting the constitution of, or the continuance of functioning or exercise of powers, by any Commission of Inquiry appointed under the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952 (60 of 1952), before the commencement of this Act and no complaint shall be made under this Act in respect of any matter referred for inquiry to such Commission before such commencement.The First Schedule[See Section 3(3)]I_________________, having been appointed Lokayukta do swear in the name of God that I will bear true faith and_______________________.Solemnly affirm allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, and I will duly and faithfully and to the best of my ability, knowledge and judgement perform the duties of my office without fear or favour, affection or ill will.The Second Schedule[See Sub-Sections (3) and (4) of Section 5] [Substituted for 'See section 5(4)' by Gujarat 23 of 1989, dated 12th October 1989 (w.r.e.f. 26-07-1988).][There shall be paid to the Lokayukta in respect of time spent on actual service, salary at the rate per mensem equal to that payable to the Chief Justice of the High Court] [Substituted by Gujarat 23 of 1989, dated 12th October 1989 (w.r.e.f. 26-07-1988).]There shall be paid to the Lokayukta in respect of time spent on actual service, salary at the following rates per mensem, that is to say:-Lokayukta... ... 4,000 rupeesProvided that, if the Lokayukta is in receipt of a pension (other than a disability or wound pension) in respect of any previous service under the Government of India or any of the predecessor Governments or under the Government of State or any of its predecessor Governments, his salary in respect of service as the Lokayukta shall be reduced-
(a)by the amount of that pension, and
