(1)The Chief Officer of a Municipality shall, at all times, ensure that the water in any water-works belonging to the Municipality, from which water is supplied for domestic purposes is wholesome.(2)The Municipality shall, when so required by any competent authority under any law for the time being in force, arrange for the examination of water, supplied for human consumption for the purpose of determining whether the water is wholesome.Tubewells and Wells
