Section 95(1)(b) in The Representation of the People Act, 1951

(b)an answer given by a witness to a question put by or before 1the High Court shall not, except in the case of any criminal proceeding for perjury in respect of the evidence, be admissible in evidence against in any civil or criminal proceeding.
