(3)The Presiding Officer of each polling station shall, after the close of the poll, close the slit of the ballot box and seal the slit and also allow any candidate or his polling agent present to affix his seal. The ballot boxes shall, thereafter, be sealed and secured. The last serial number of the ballot paper shall be announced to the candidate or his polling agent present.
