Section 100(1)(vi) in Punjab Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1952

(vi)Every row of seats in the auditorium shall be assigned a specific distinguishing mark such as A, B, C and so on and every seat in each row shall be serially numbered. The serial number shall be inscribed at a prominent place on the seat in such a manner that the seat can be easily located.
