CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE INDERJIT SINGH

Present: Mr. Arihant Jain, Advocate,
            for the petitioner.

INDERJIT SINGH, J.

Petitioner-Raj Kumar @ Raju has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.102 dated 12.06.2017, registered at Police Station City Sunam, District Sangrur, under Sections 285, 286, 337, 338, 427 and 429 IPC and Section 9-B of the Explosive Act, 1994.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that a blast has taken place in cracker godown and about 20-25 children, ladies and gents were injured and so many buildings have also been damaged. The fire brigade put the fire under control. The present petitioner has kept and stored crackers in the residential area in an unsecured method and put the life of public living 1 of 2 ::: Downloaded on - 08-07-2017 22:26:05 ::: -2- CRM-M-23035-2017 nearby at risk.

Keeping in view the nature and gravity of the offence and in view of the fact that allegation against the petitioner is serious in nature, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled to the benefit of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
