Section 3(1) in The Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University Act, 1986
(1)The Chancellor, the first Vice-Chancellor, the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University and the first members of the Court, the Executive Council and the Academic Council of the University and all persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of, [the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University] [Substituted for 'the North Gujarat University' by Gujarat 2 of 2003, dated 3rd March 2003 (w.e.f. 03-03-2003).]".
