Section 32(2) in Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919
(2)Every meeting of [a standing committee ora wards committee] [Substituted by Tamil Nadu Act 26 of 1994.] shall be presided over by its chairman and in his absence by a member thereof chosen by the meeting to preside for the occasion.
