Section 45(2) in The Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959
(2)The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, omit any entry from Schedule I or add any entry thereto or amend any such entry and the Schedule shall, on the issue of the notification, be deemed to be amended accordingly:Provided that,-(a)no such notification omitting any entry from Schedule I shall be issued without the previous approval of the State Legislature; and(b)any other notification shall be laid before each House of the State Legislature as soon as may be after it is issued and shall be subject to such modification as the State Legislature may make, during the session in which it is so laid, and publish in the Official Gazette.
