Section 1002(1) in Rules under the United Provinces Excise Act, 1910
(1)The possession in any quantity whatsoever, of Ganja and Bhang which has not been lawfully manufactured or obtained lawfully is prohibited throughout Uttar Pradesh.Note. - The possession of Charas in any quantity whatsoever is totally prohibited in Uttar Pradesh.
