(e)the preparation of rainfall statements.(ii)In cases of doubt as to the desirability of starting new gauges and changing the sites of old ones, the Director-General of Observatories should be consulted. In the latter case a site plan showing the distance and bearing of the new site as compared with the old and existing one should be sent.
