Section 17(iii) in Haryana Municipal Services (Integration, Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1982
(iii)any employee may, after giving at least one month's previous notice in writing to the appointing authority, retire from service on the date on which he completes twenty five years of service or such period of service as the State Government may prescribe for its employees from time to time, or attains fifty years of age or such age as the State Government may prescribe for its employees from time to time or on any date thereafter to be specified in the notice, but no employee under suspension shall retire from service except with the specific approval in writing of the appointing authority.
