(1)No unrecognised school, and no school in which the course of instruction carried beyond the middle standard, shall be maintained or aided by the Commissioners. Schools for the training of artisans for special trades shall be considered to be primary schools for the purposes of this rule, provided that provision is made in them for the teaching of reading, writing and arithmetic or pupils are not admitted until they have passed the lower primary standard.(Government notification no. 1414-E.
