Section 172(2) in The Petroleum And Natural Gas (Safety In Offshore Operations) Rules, 2008
(2)Before the place of accident involving a fatal or serious accident is disturbed or altered due to any reason whatsoever, a sketch or photo or any other evidences available of the site illustrating the accident and all relevant details shall be prepared and kept available for use during investigation of the accident.
