(1)The committee may, and shall when so required by the State Government, fix premises with the approval of the Deputy Commissioner, either within or without the limits of the municipality, for the slaughter of animals for sale, or of any specified description of such animals, and may, with the like approval, grant and withdraw licences for the use of such premises or, if they belong to the committee, charge rent or fees for the use of the same.
