Section 261 in The Asansol Municipal Corporation Act, 1990.
261. Power to make bye-laws. -
(1)The Corporation may [* * * * *] [Words omitted by W.B. Act 17 of 1995.] make bye-laws not inconsistent with the provisions of this Actor the rules or the regulations made thereunder for discharging its functions under this Act.(2)Such bye-laws may provide that any breach thereof shall be punishable with such fine as may be specified therein.(3)Such bye-laws shall be published in the Official Gazette and in such local newspapers as the Corporation may determine.
