Section 631(1) in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(1)Any suit or legal proceeding instituted or which but for the passing of this Act have been instituted by or against the Corporation or the Commissioner under the Calcutta Municipal Act, 1951, may be continued or instituted by the Corporation or the Municipal Commissioner, as the case may be, constituted or appointed under this Act.
