Section 5(1) in Andhra Pradesh Lokayukta Act, 1983
(1)Every person appointed to be the Lokayukta or Upa-Lokayukta shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office:Provided that,-(a)the Lokayukta or Upa-Lokayukta may by writing under his hand addressed to the Governor, resign his office;(b)the Lokayukta or Upa-Lokayukta may be removed from his office in the manner specified in Section 6.
