Section 260(1) in The Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
(1)The Health Officer of the Corporation shall be the Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths in Chandernagore and shall keep in such form as may from time to time be prescribed by the State Government a register of births and deaths occurring in Chandernagore.
