State of Punjab - Subsection

Section 9(2) in The Punjab Security of Land Tenures Rules, 1956

(2)The [Committee] [Substituted for words 'Board' or 'Special Board' by G.S.R. 29, dated 13th January, 1964.] shall, before deciding the applications, give the landowner an opportunity of presenting his case. Proceedings before the [Committee] will be of a summary character, and the Chairman shall record the [decision] [Substituted by Punjab Government Notification No. 3223-L.R.-II-57/1624 dated the 22nd March, 1958.] of the [Committee], giving reasons briefly for the [decision] taken [and announce it to the party concerned.] [Substituted by Punjab Government Notification No. 3223-L.R.-II-57/1624 dated the 22nd March, 1958.]In the event of a difference of opinion between the members of the [Committee] [Substituted for words 'Board' or 'Special Board' by G.S.R. 29, dated 13th January, 1964.], the majority view shall prevail, and where opinion is equally divided, the Chairman will decide which of the two views shall prevail.
