Section 3(3) in Biju Patnaik University of Technology Act, 2002
(3)The Chancellor, the first Vice-Chancellor, the first members of the Board and the Academic Council and all persons who may hereafter become such Chancellor, officer and members, so long as they continue to hold office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of "Biju Patnaik University of Technology" and such body corporate shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued by that name.
