Section 217(1) in The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018
(1)An issuer making a rights issue of IDRs shall, in accordance with the provisions of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the issuer shall announce a record date for the purpose of determining the shareholders eligible to apply for IDRs in the proposed rights issue.
