Section 7(4) in The Rules For The Manufacture, Use, Import, Export And Storage Of Hazardous Micro-Organisms/genetically Engineered organisms Or Cells, 1989
(4)Any person operating or using genetically engineered organisms/ micro-organisms mentioned in the Schedule for scale up or pilot operations shall have to obtain licence issued by the Genetic Engineering Approval Committee for any such activity. The possessor shall have to apply for licence in the prescribed profornia.
