ORDER
The present Civil Revision Petition is filed challenging the order passed by the Family Court, Puducherry, I.A.No.803 of 2024 in M.O.P.No.375 of 2023, dated 29.07.2025, directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.15,000/- per month as interim maintenance to the respondent/wife 1/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ( Uploaded on: 11/12/2025 08:14:00 pm ) C.R.P.No.5750 of 2025 and her two children.
2. The petitioner herein filed the main O.P. seeking a decree of divorce against the respondent. Pending the main O.P., the respondent filed an application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act seeking interim maintenance. According to the respondent, the petitioner is employed as a Production Manager at M/s.Linux Life Sciences Private Limited and is earning a total amount of Rs.54,283/- per month. It is also stated that the respondent is struggling to maintain herself and her two children without any support.
3. The petitioner herein filed a counter affidavit claiming that the respondent is highly qualified, holding an M.Ed. degree. It was also stated that the respondent is running a tuition centre, taking classes for 12 th standard students, and thereby earning a sum of Rs.30,000/- per month.
4. The Family Court, on consideration of the documentary evidence placed before it, fixed the interim maintenance at Rs.15,000/- per month. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ( Uploaded on: 11/12/2025 08:14:00 pm ) C.R.P.No.5750 of 2025 is well-educated and has been taking classes for 12 th standard students and earning Rs.30,000/- per month. Therefore, it is contended that the petition filed by her seeking interim maintenance is not maintainable.
6. Though it is claimed by the petitioner that the respondent is getting a reasonable income by taking tuition for 12th standard students, no acceptable evidence was produced before the Family Court. On the other hand, a perusal of counter and documents filed before Family Court would establish that the petitioner is working as a Technical Lead and earning a sum of Rs.54,283/- per month.
7. Taking into consideration the earnings of the petitioner and the lifestyle of the parties, the Family Court fixed the interim maintenance at Rs.15,000/- per month. The amount fixed by the Family Court, Puducherry, is for the respondent and also for the two children. Therefore, the amount of Rs.15,000/- per month towards maintenance of the wife and two children appears to be reasonable.
8. I do not find any error in the impugned order passed by the Family Court, Puducherry. The petitioner is permitted to pay 50% of the arrears of maintenance amount on or before 02.01.2026, and the remaining 50% shall 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ( Uploaded on: 11/12/2025 08:14:00 pm ) C.R.P.No.5750 of 2025 be paid on or before 02.02.2026 from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

9. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
