AOR ...for the State The Court: Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner award- holder places two awards passed by a learned Single Judge of this Court on 11th April, 2023 and 6th June, 2023 which record, inter alia, that the award-debtors will pay an amount of Rs.1,13,25,000/- as full and final settlement of the execution case. Counsel submits that this amount has not been paid till date.
The learned Government Pleader appearing for the award-debtors hands up a letter dated 9th June, 2023 from the Additional Secretary to 2 the Accountant General, West Bengal, stating that steps have already been taken for payment of the amount directed by the Court and that the designated person has been authorised as Drawing and Disbursement Officer in respect of the expenditure sanctioned in the said communication.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner should receive the payment during the course of this week.
The letter dated 9th June, 2023 is kept on record. List this matter on 20th June, 2023.
