Section 1(2) in Assam Non-Agricultural Urban Areas Tenancy Act, 1955
(2)It extends-(a)to the urban areas in the State of Assam ; and(b)to any other areas which have been or may hereafter be declared town lands under clause (a) of Rule 64 of the Settlement Rules made under the Assam Land and Revenue Regulation, 1886 (Regulation I of 1886) or the Assam Land Revenue Re-assessment Act, 1936 (Assam Act VIII of 1936).
