(1)The [State Government] [Words substituted by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937, and the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950, respectively.] may vest any Collector or Deputy Collector with all or any of the powers which, under the provisions of any law for the time being in force, might be exercised by them respectively, or might be conferred on them respectively, if they were making a settlement of a parent estate.
