Confessions should ordinarily be recorded in open Court and during Court hours; provided that if the Magistrate is satisfied, for reasons to be recorded by him in writing, that the recording of a confession in open Court would be detrimental to the public interest or be liable to defeat the ends of justice, the confession may be recorded elsewhere.
