Section 55(1) in The Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003
(1)In the event of non-acceptance of office by a person elected as a Corporator or the Corporator incurs any disqualification or of becoming incapable of acting during the term of his office he shall cease to be a Corporator and there shall be deemed to have a casual vacancy in such office.
