(2)Rank on Commission and promotion. - Master Chief Petty Officers Class I and II shall be commissioned in the rank of Honorary Sub-Lieutenant (Special Duties). An honorary Sub-Lieutenant (Special Duties), if recommended, shall be eligible for promotion to the rank of Honorary Lieutenant (Special Duties).
