- [(1) The Government shall appoint the Block Development Officer as Executive Officer of the Panchayat Samiti.] [Substituted by Bihar Act 23, 2010, dated 30.4.2010.](2)The Government may post from time to time such number of officers and staff of the State Government to serve under the Panchayat Samiti as the Government may consider necessary.(3)Subject to such Rules as may be made by the State Government in this behalf, a Panchayat Samiti may from time to time engage such number of paid or honorary functionaries or professionals as may be required by it for carrying out its functions.
