(3)The provisions of sub-section (2) shall be without prejudice to the provisions contained in section 8 and 18 of the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word ',Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969 as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] General Clauses Act, 1891 ([Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969 as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act I of 1891) which shall also apply to the repeal of the Travancore-Cochin Land Development Act, 1950 (Travancore-Cochin Act XXXVI of 1950), as if the latter Act had been a [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969 as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act.
