Section 9(b) in Tamil Nadu Timber Transit Rules, 1968
(b)red sanders wood cut and carried by a ryot for his own personal use from trees growing on the patta lands of the said ryots or of any neighbouring ryot from whom title to such red sanders wood is derived and provided that he obtained a certificate of title from the [village munsif] [Now Village Administrative Officer.] and that the quantity cut and carried on each occasion does not exceed 5kg. in weight.
