(2)[ The headquarters of the University shall be at Delhi and it may establish or maintain Colleges, Regional Centres and Study Centres at such other places in India as it may deem fit. Provided that the University may, with the prior approval of the Visitor, also establish Study Centres outside India.] [Provisio to Sub-Section (2) of Section 3 of the Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985, enacted by the Parliament in August, 1997. The amended Act shall come into force from 16th December, 1997.]
