Section 135 in Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966

135. [ Dispute regarding boundaries between villages, survey numbers and sub-divisions. [Substituted by Maharashtra Act No. 60 of 2017, dated 7.9.2017.]

- If any dispute arises concerning the boundary of a village or a field or a holding which has not been surveyed, or if at any time after the completion of a survey, a dispute arises concerning the boundary of any village or boundary or area of any survey number or sub-division of a survey number, it shall be decided by the Collector after holding a formal inquiry at which the concerned officers and all persons interested shall have an opportunity of appearing and producing evidence. The Collector may, while deciding such dispute or, otherwise after giving an opportunity of being heard to all the concerned persons and officer, also correct any error in the area or assessment of a survey number or subdivision of a survey number due to mistake of survey or arithmetical miscalculation :Provided that, no arrears of land revenue shall become payable by reason of such correction; but excess payment as land revenue made, if any, shall be adjusted against the payment of land revenue which may become due.] [Substituted by Act No. 54 of 2017, dated 1.9.2017.]
